What a mess!

Last night I had to do some stuff for work that kept me out until the wee hours of the morning. It was just before 3:00am that I drove up our street - and saw that our home had been TPed. Joy. I park our van in the garage and walk out front to investigate. It wasn't just toilet paper - they stuck plastic forks all over the yard, dumped maple syrup on our porch and my car, saran-wrapped my car to the tree, egged my car and our house, and several other things.

We have an idea who might've done it, but don't really know for sure.

I'm kinda grumpy about the whole thing :-/

Let God Arise

My wife and I are both heavily involved with the music ministry at our church. I play electric guitar mostly, about once a month or so I'll play bass, and very occasionally will do acoustic. Chris Tomlin's "Let God Arise", video below, is one of my favorite songs to play on the worship team.

If you want to learn more about this song, there's a video of an interview with Chris teaching the song, and another of Daniel Carson (Chris' lead guitar player) teaching the electric parts.

I hope this is helpful! Have fun with it!

Old guys rockin'.

Toni posted this pic on his blog after seeing on the CMF posted by jakeddy. Looks like the image was originally in Reader's Digest. Check out the comments on his page - he bears an uncanny resemblence to the character on the right. Me? Well, there's no fat, bald guy rockin' with a Les Paul...but the young lady coming down the stairs reminds me of my son coming in to tell me to turn my guitar down a few days ago - guess I ain't THAT old :D

Starting again

I started a blog on my .mac site a few months ago. I got lazy updating it, and frankly starting iWeb just to make a blog post seemed like a lot of work. With blogger, I can make posts from my phone, do updates to the twitter panel on the right via IM, phone, or web, and there just seems to be a lot more features available. Hopefully, this switch will make it easier for me to keep blogging.

Posting from my phone

I'm sending this post in from my cell phone, a Palm Treo 700p. If all goes as advertised, this will automagically create a blog post. Pretty cool, huh?

UPDATE: so yeah, it worked, but it did post my email sig, so I took that out.
